Wildflower Bridal Showers ❀ Ideas on How to Throw A Great Party

First of all, I would just like to say that I am so blessed with an AMAZING family, who did all of this! I have a wonderful mother and sister, and wonderful mother-in-law and sister-in-law who made these showers happen.

As some of you know, instead of one bridal shower, I actually had two. We're an international couple, so one took place in Canada, and the other one in the United States. Kind of fitting that I had two showers I suppose, as we're having two weddings!

After just having my second bridal shower, I thought I would do a little post about them since they were so wonderful. I made some collages (I've been a little obsessed with collages lately) of photos from the shower, along with some notations for ideas. (Click the collages to enlarge.)

The best part of these showers though, was the love! As long as you have that, any shower or party will be a good one.

Walking into my surprise bridal shower, lined with wildflowers - so happy! :)

Love Revolution

image via weheartit.com

It's time to change the world...
It's time for a Love Revolution!!!

Thats right, I'm talking about one of the most powerful forces on earth, Love! And I'm hoping that you'll join me on this journey.
Now, you may be asking - what is a Love Revolution? Well I'm glad you asked! A love revolution is a conscious effort to re-awaken and empower of one of the purest and finest qualities of our human existence. A chance to make a positive change in your life, your community, and your world.  A love revolution is doing with love. It's about making a shift in your life that brings about positive change, a change that catches on to other people and spreads like seeds on the wind.

Not Your Typical Beach Wedding

Our handmade rings and medicine bags

When someone says "beach wedding", usually what comes to mind is flowing dresses and sun kissed skin in the warm weather.... not parkas and hot tea in the winter winds.

Technically, we haven't been calling it our "wedding" per say. This was our little civil ceremony, and we're having our 'real' wedding in September. Brendan is from the United States and I'm from Canada, so when we got engaged we decided to legally marry as soon as possible to get started on the paperwork (let me know if you have any experience/advice in this area!).  We're planning out our September wedding to make it the ceremony we envisioned, but still wanted to make this civil ceremony special. It turned out to be such a wonderful and fun day I can't wait to get married again!

It was a flurry of activity and perfectly chaotic as there wasn't much time for planning. We decided to have it on a Sunday as we wanted to work the Saturday market since it was our busiest month at Enter The Sun. My first words of advice... take the day before your civil ceremony off! It worked out in the end, but it was definitely a whirlwind!
